Our New Fur Baby
I can't think of a better way to initiate my new blog, than with photos of our new baby, Sanford. He came into our lives unexpectedly after losing our older Lab, Gunner to an unfortunate accident. As dog lovers, we always have two dogs in the house to keep the other company since the hubby and I are busy and work full time. Out little dog, Baxter was grieving in a way we never would have expected, so we didn't waste time finding a playmate for him. (I expect it was to help fill our own empty hearts and souls as well.) He and Baxter are still trying to work things out and are slowly becoming best buds. We, on the other hand are madly in love with the new little man in the house. We have forgotten the time and commitment involved with having a puppy, as it had been ten years since our last puppy. He sure keeps us hopping! He doesn't sit still for longer than 10 seconds at a time, so, needless to say, trying to get photos of him was a bit of a challenge.
I thought it fitting to name this post "Fur Baby," since the hubby and I have two grand-babies on the way. One is due in about 4 weeks and the other in August. To say we are excited, is a huge understatement. Being a grandparent is one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable jobs I have ever had. Our two older grandchildren bring so much joy to our lives! Be on the lookout, because I'm sure this blog will be flooded with images of our new family members that are arriving soon.
With spring in the air, Sanford inspired me to do a little shooting as spring sessions are starting to book. Can't wait to get back into the swing of things with babies, kids and families....it sure felt good to have that camera back in my hand. It had been feeling a little lonely during this dreary winter. We've had spring fever here, though, as Mother Nature has tricked us with some warm weather. Such a tease! However, snow is predicted at the beginning of the week even with us setting the clocks forward tonight! C'mon Spring!
